Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over the years. The projects include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
